Well for the third time this year I have deposited money in to the bank as a deposit on a commission build for client that found me solely through this forum. So you see this forum can help you grow in this craft in many ways Thanks Lance I got almost 1/2 my commissions this year thanks to the OLF

Actually this is the first time I have ever had more than a two guitar plus the one on the bench back log. But i am still going to stay with build one get it in the paint booth then build the next approch. I just like to build that way. making money is not at all my driving force.

i find the longer planes, a 6 or 7, too heavy, awkward and cumbersome for the task, and i'm not a small person. the 5 is my favourite.

the comments relating to having the plane tuned and working on a flat surface are all relevant.

in a pinch i have even clamped the two halves in a vise and jointed them.

Excellent news! What does your newest customer want?

He is getting one of my Student models 14 fret SJ 3A IRW with 3A Cedar top, Curly maple bindings, Mahogany/IRW/Maple/IRW/Mahoganylaminated Neck. Top bwb purfling, simple 3 ring bwb rosette, abalone fret marker and that it. Just a basic IRW guitar.
